President

Marc Charrière has been Government Relations France Director at Nokia and Secretary General of Nokia France since January 2016.  He is also President of AFNUM Network commission (French trade union for Digital Industry) and President of FIEEC / MEDEF digital commission (French consortium of Communication, Information and Electronic Technologies industry stakeholders belonging to MEDEF).


Before taking on his current role he was Public Affairs Director at Alcatel-Lucent France from 2008, Alcatel-Lucent France’s Vice President for Enterprise & Vertical Markets from 2005 to 2008, and Director of Sales for the Fixed Communications Group (ADSL, Optics, IN, NGN, etc.) from 2002 to 2004.


Marc joined Alcatel in 1991 as head of Bids and Proposals for France Telecom. He started out in cable network bids before moving to transmission then switching.  He also played various roles in business development and lobbying during the ADSL rollout period and was assistant director of the new operators market (LDcom, 9, Free, SFR etc.).

    

Before joining Alcatel, Marc was a financial IT consultant (Société Générale, Mc Donnell Douglas Information Systems) and Research Engineer ( EDF and CEA)


Marc graduated from France’s prestigious École Centrale engineering school and holds a master’s degree in Electrical engineering applied to Nuclear physics. 

He gave masterclass in negotiation and lobbying at Ecole Centrale de Paris and was member of the lobbying contest of Sciences-Po schools.
