Jean-Christophe Labarre is Alliance Ventures Innovation and Partnerships Director, Renault-Nissan Mitsubishi’s global investment organization, which manages corporate venture capital investment in open innovation, in support of the Alliance’s strategic objectives. Based in Amsterdam and Co-located in Silicon Valley, Paris, Yokohama and Beijing, “Alliance Ventures” is a $200 million a year venture capital fund operating for Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, the world’s leading automotive alliance. Launched in 2018, the fund targets technology and business model innovation in New Mobility, Autonomous Driving, Connected Services, EV & Energy and Enterprise 2.0.
Jean-Christophe joined the Alliance in December 2017 and co-piloted the creation and coordination of the Alliance Cross Functional team for Innovation of the Alliance Ventures and helped to create the partners’ ecosystem.
Prior to his current position, from 2016 to 2018, he was head of Innovation and Partnerships at RCI Bank and Services, leading the main investments the company did in the mobility sector: Karhoo, Yuso, Marcel, besides boosting initiatives around blockchain technologies.
Jean-Christophe holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from ISC Business School (Promotion 1997) in Paris and a professional certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
