Head of Innovation Smart City
François Panouillé holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He
started his career as a Policy Advisor with the French Embassy in Romania where he dealt with an array of issues linked to local and sustainable development. He subsequently joined the Association of French Small Cities (APVF), a politically-led, cross-party organization working on behalf of small cities and townships with the aim of providing a strong and credible voice to local governments within national representation bodies. In his capacity as Policy Officer with the APVF he contributes to influence and set the political agenda on the issues that matter to small cities so they are able to deliver local solutions to national problems.
As of May 2018, François has joined the “Banque des Territoires”, an entity within the “Caisse des Dépôts” that works directly with local authorities. He is developing a range of practical support meant to enable local authorities to make use of various new opportunities linked to the deployment of smart city infrastructure. His area of expertise includes smart building, citizen empowerment and smart mobility.
